Terms and Conditions
By registering for the CCTV Surveillance Security & Forensics Hackathon, participants agree to abide by the following Terms & Conditions. These guidelines are designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and enriching experience for all involved.
1. Eligibility
1.1. Participation is open to individuals above 18 years of age.
1.2. Only teams nominated by recognized academic institutions, research bodies, or corporate organizations are eligible.
1.3. Each team must comprise 2–3 members. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged.
2. Registration
2.1. All entries must be submitted through the official hackathon portal.
2.2. Incomplete or false registrations are liable to be rejected.
2.3. The organizing committee reserves the right to verify the credentials of participating individuals and teams.
3. Selection Process
3.1. Submitted entries will be evaluated based on relevance, innovation, feasibility, and alignment with the hackathon themes
3.2. The selection made by the jury will be fi nal and binding. No disputes will be entertained.
4. Participation Rules
4.1. Teams must work on original ideas and refrain from plagiarism.
4.2. The use of pre-developed or third-party solutions must be explicitly declared and approved by organizers.
4.3. Teams are expected to comply with ethical standards and maintain decorum during the event.
5. Intellectual Property (IP)
5.1. All IP developed during the hackathon shall belong to the respective team members.
5.2. However, participants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and promote the submitted ideas and prototypes for non-commercial purposes with due credit.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1. Harassment or misconduct of any kind will lead to immediate disqualification.
6.2. Participants are expected to treat all mentors, judges, fellow participants, and volunteers with respect.
7. Confidentiality
7.1. Any confidential or sensitive data shared during the hackathon must be handled responsibly and cannot be used for purposes outside the event.
7.2. Participants must not disclose proprietary information of the organizing partners without written consent.
8. Disqualification
8.1. Use of unfair means, violation of terms, or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
8.2. Decisions related to disqualifi cation rest solely with the organizers and are not open to appeal.
9. Force Majeure
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.), the organizers reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel the hackathon without prior notice.
10. Media Release
10.1. By participating, teams agree to be photographed, video recorded, or interviewed during the event.
10.2. Organizers may use this media content for promotional or educational purposes.
11. Changes to Terms
The organizers reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the offi cial website, and continued participation implies acceptance.
12.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Ranchi, Jharkhand.
